I’m Vanessa Elles, an international makeup artist based in Wiltshire, on the edge of the Cotswolds.
My journey in makeup began straight after school, when I trained at a respected makeup college and qualified in 2014. During two intensive years of study, I had the privilege of learning from some of the most sought-after artists in the industry — an experience that soon led to my first professional role, assisting on the set of a music video.
Since then, my career has taken me across the UK and beyond. I’ve worked at some of the industry’s most prestigious events, including the Cannes Film Festival, The BRIT Awards, the National Television Awards, and The Soap Awards. Most recently, my work took me to Paris, where I had the honour of looking after ex-Paralympian Ellie Simmonds as she co-hosted Channel 4’s coverage of the 2024 Paralympic swimming events. Day to day, I work with the influential — from leading fashion brands to well-known television personalities. While I’m confident in adapting to any creative brief, my signature style is always skin-focused with a natural, radiant finish. I take pride in my attention to detail and in creating makeup that enhances rather than conceals, ensuring every client feels confident, comfortable, and truly themselves.
Building my name as an artist began with the creation of my own luxury bridal makeup business. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of looking after countless brides across London, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, and now the Cotswolds. I’m honoured to be recommended by some of the region’s most prestigious wedding venues and suppliers, and I consider it a true joy to be part of each bride’s journey. Their trust and support have shaped my career, and I’m endlessly grateful for that..
